Llanuwchllyn 0 Brickfield Rangers 2

Gareth Wilson’s Brickfield advanced to a quarter-final tie at Nantlle Vale after a tremendous midweek win at Llanuwchllyn.

Lewis Clamp struck first for Bricky on 34 minutes, Jay Richardson with the assist, and the Wrexham side sealed passage to the last eight when Michael Ashworth made it 2-0 after 83, sub Aiden Fox with the assist.

Llan’s cause was not helped by having Steffan Dolben dismissed for a second yellow in first half injury time.

ARDAL NORTH EAST CATCH-UP – FEBRUARY 1

Penycae 0 Chirk AAA 0

It was a stalemate at The Riverside after a close encounter between the two sides.

The home side started well and were thwarted by Chirks impressive young keeper Jake Nicholls in the opening minutes with a fine save. They piled on the pressure but Chirk held firm with youngster James Nash impressing in the centre back role.

However, Chirk always looked dangerous on the break with the striking partnership of Tom Freeman and Dale Davies.

The second half saw a similar pattern with Penycae having the lion’s share of possession but Chirk always looking a threat on the break.

Nicholls pulled off another good save in the closing minutes as Chirk hung on for the draw.

Llanfair United 2 Rhos Aelwyd 1

Two late goals from Josh Astley won this one for Llanfair after a Kai Morris strike had given Rhos a first-minute lead.

Llandrindod Wells 2 Cefn Albion 2

Albion led 2-0 with goals from captain Nathan Williams and Torne Samuels, but Llandrindod hit back to earn a point courtesy of Liam Hall and Thomas Durant.

Red cards were shown to Nathan Williams and Leighton Kendrick of the visiting side and Hall for the hosts.

Builth Wells 2 Dolgellau AA 1

Dolgellau led on 26 minutes through a Dennis Bates net-finder, but Builth turned the tables to win with goals from Alex Hicks and an Adam Farmer penalty.
