NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Valley Seniors 1 CPD Deiniolen 1

Clark Thomas’ first match in charge of Valley so nearly ended in victory only for visitors Deiniolen to snatch a point with a 95th minute equaliser.

The hosts were on top for the majority of the game, playing some great football under the new boss.

Valley took the lead in the 87th minute thanks to a Leon Gill finish, Robert Preiser with the assist.

However, Deiniolen equalised with the last kick of the game in the fifth minute of added time through Jonny Cyster, the assist credited to keeper Lee Williams.

Llanfairpwll 4 CPD Gaerwen 3

Tomos Williams produced a 91st minute winner to seal a thrilling island derby in Llanfairpwll’s favour.

Division One leaders Llanfair nudged ahead through Ywain McQuire Jones in just the second minute.

Calum Thomas levelled on 24, but Williams scored his first of the afternoon with 36 showing on the clock, making it 2-1 ‘Pwll at the break.

Seven minutes into the second half, Jay Finter put Gaerwen back on terms, soon after Dei Thomas knocked in Llanfair’s third, but the Auctioneers came from behind for a third time after 74 via Dylan Jones – three apiece!

Llanfairpwll were left to play the last few minutes with 10 men when Lewis Allford-Williams was sent off for a second yellow on 84.

However, it was Gwyndaf Hughes’ home side who had the big finish left in them when Williams made it 10 goals in 10 games since signing for ‘Pwll in September when he netted a minute into added time.

Amlwch Town 4 CPD Cefni 6

What a win for Cefni!

Traveling with 14 players after last-minute pull-outs, Graham Jones’ men dug deep and returned home with the three points.

A hat-trick for Jamie Patterson, two from Dion Jones and one from player-manager Graham ‘Squeez’ Jones, a cracking free kick from just outside the box, secured the win.

Cefni led 3-0 at half time, went four-up in the second period, but were pegged back to 2-4 and 4-5 before Patterson sealed victory 10 minutes into added time.

On the mark for Amlwch were Cian Evans (2), Callum Hughes and Huw Torr.

Llangoed and District 1 Blaenau Amateurs 2

Richard Gregson catches some great action from Llangoed versus Blaenau Amateurs (all red)

Second-placed Blaenau edged a 2-1 verdict over the Puffins at Tyddyn Paun.

All the goals landed in the first half – captain Sion Hughes and Iwan Jones on 16 and 41 minutes respectively for the Quarrymen, Carwyn Williams after 43 for the hosts.
