Unbeaten Penmaenmawr began 2025 in grand style with a 4-1 victory at fellow high-riders Llansannan, who always provide tough opposition.
Phoenix top marksman Daniel Williams found himself in on goal in the second minute, rounding the keeper and shooting, but home captain Robert Hurst managed to recover and block the ball on the line.

The deadlock was broken in the 45th minute when Pen’s Alex Brownhill headed in from close range from a Hold corner.

In the 73rd minute it was Hold again to make it 3-0 when he was unmarked at the back post and was picked out by team mate Daniel Williams.
Leon Gierke scored a consolation goal for the home side in the 84th minute via a deflected free kick from the edge of the box.
Goalkeeper Jarvis’ twin brother Ben rounded off the scoring in the 94th minute.
From a great counter attack, Daniel Williams found Jarvis at the back stick and the midfielder buried the ball into the bottom corner.
