Jess Jones of Llangefni Town became the second player in North Wales women’s senior football to reach 20 goals this season at the weekend.

Jess, 19, struck twice in Cefni’s 6-0 victory against Amlwch in the Betty Pickering Cup.

Last season’s Goalden Girl has hit the 20-mark in just 12 matches this term.

It was a good weekend for players near the top of the chart with Connah’s Quay’s Ella Jones and Polly Wild McGregor both scoring twice in a 5-2 triumph at Llandudno, while Laura Pratt was also on target for Airbus.

And into double figures is Amy Chesters of Kinmel Bay, whose hat-trick against Denbigh Town put her on 10 for the campaign.
