North Wales ace will test his talents in Cheshire League in 2025

Owen Reilly will test his skills in the Cheshire League in 2025

Talented North Walian all-rounder Owen Reilly will play Cheshire League cricket in 2025.

The 22-year-old fast bowler and opening batsman has signed for Stockport-based Marple CC.

Owen is currently wintering at Bassendean CC in Perth, Australia, but will be ready for action at Bowden Lane in April.

Hailing from Ynys Môn, Owen has played for Bangor CC since 2019, having previously represented Pwllheli (2016-18) and Holyhead (2014-15).

Owen is a Wales international who rose to prominence in 2022 when he made his debut for Wales National Counties and Wales NC North that year.

He has represented Wales NC North 19 times between 2022-24 and played once for Wales NC in a match against Wiltshire, picking up two wickets in a three-day NCCA Western Division Two victory at Panteg CC.

Owen also took five wickets at Lord’s for a Cricket Wales select side against the MCC back in April 2022.

In 2024, he scored 411 runs and took 38 wickets for Bangor in the North Wales Premier League.

Over his career across all matches, he has scored 3,134 runs and scooped 213 wickets.
