Leaders Bethesda dropped their first points of the season in the North Wales Coast West Premier when a 92nd minute equaliser from the hosts scuppered their victory hopes.
Entering tonight’s game at Treborth, Pesda had compiled 10 straight league wins, but Talysarn were able to halt Mark N Hughes’ team’s 100 percent record.
Cameron Robertson put Athletic ahead on 18 minutes from a Joe Todd assist, but just before half time, Jack Usher levelled after skipper Jac Pearce Jones set him up.
Pesda regained the lead on 66 through Shaun Lock and it looked like that would be sufficient to wrap up win number 11 until two minutes into added time, Tomos Williams found the net from a Josh Williams assist.
Luke McGivern was a hat-trick hero for second place Cemaes, who closed the gap on Bethesda to two points although the Anglesey side has played two games more than the leaders.
It was one-apiece come half time at School Lane, Osian Tomlinson edging visitors Bontnewydd ahead on 20, but McGivern restored parity from a Tom Wood assist after 28.
Cemaes gradually got on top in the second half, Iolo Hughes making it 2-1 on 57 before Wood added a third after 71. sub Codie Holland assisting.
Clive Williams cut the deficit to 3-2 on 77 to set up a potentially exciting finish, but three goals past the 90-minute mark saw Bay home, McGivern with two to complete his treble before 17-year-old Holland added a sixth.
