What a night for Bethesda Cricket Club captain Carwyn L Williams at the end of season 2024 North Wales League Awards.
Williams finished the year with 805 league runs at an average of 89.44.
The Pesda skipper won the Division One Batting Award and was second overall highest run scorer in the entire NWCL, just four behind Denbigh’s South African ace James Du Toit.
And to round off the perfect season, Bethesda have also been promoted to the Premier Division next season after finishing Division One runners-up.
Pesda have not featured in the top division since 2009.
Another major highlight of the evening was Mochdre being hailed as double champions, the 1st XI winning the Premier Division title for the first time and the 2nd XI the Division Two crown.

Overseas players cannot qualify for individual awards, but overall league top run scorer was James Du Toit of Denbigh with 809. while most league wickets were shared between Lafras Van Vuuren (Dolgellau) and Gareth Pugh (Brymbo) 44. Joe Clayton of Denbigh was the wicket-keeper with most dismissals (28).
