NWCFA INTERMEDIATE CUP QUARTER-FINALS – REPORT: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25

Llandudno Amateurs 1 Llanfairfechan Town 3

Llanfairfechan became the first team to reach the Intermediate Cup semi-finals after an excellent win at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Friday night.

Town took the lead in the 31st minute when long-serving defender Curtis Murray found the net from an Elliot Croston assist.

Ellis Jones added a second for the visitors on 39 to make it 2-0 at half time.

Llanfair put one foot firmly into the last four when Harry Croston made it 3-0 with 73 on the clock.

Ryan Boddis replied for the Amateurs on 86, but it was too late to alter the outcome.

PREVIEW: QUARTER-FINALS – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26

Bethesda Athletic v Llandudno Junction

What a tie in store as Bethesda, top of the North Wales Coast West Premier with nine straight wins, welcome renowned cup fighters Junction, fourth in the North Wales Coast East Premier having suffered just one defeat.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix v Bow FC

Great battle on the cards between two teams from the North Wales Coast East Premier Division.

Tier 4 ‘old heads’ Phoenix are unbeaten in the league, while newcomers to this level, Prestatyn-based Bow, are making decent progress.

This will be the first meeting of the teams.

Gwalchmai v Cemaes Bay

This tie is down as ‘cancelled’ on the FAW Cymru football aop.

When the game goes ahead, holders Gwalchmai will welcome Cemaes to Maes Meurig for a much-awaited Anglesey derby.

The teams only met seven days ago in the league, Gwalch winning 4-2 at School Lane.
