Promoted Llay will have come away the happier side after earning a draw at expected high-flyers Colwyn Bay.
The Wrexham-area visitors went ahead with an unfortunate own goal by Jay Owen to lead at half-time.
Craig Lindfield got Bay’s equaliser on 57 minutes and although the Seagulls pushed for a winner they could not find a way past Llay keeper Michael Jones.
Colwyn had early chances with Sol Forde heading just wide from a corner while a Josh Carey shot clipped the post.

At the other end it needed a great tackle by Forde to deny Llay when they broke dangerously.
The second half equaliser came from a great cross by Cai Owen, helped on by Gwion Dafydd for Lindfield to score.
Jones later produced great stops to deny Lloyd Marsh-Hughes and Carey.
Ben Lawrence’s superb 70th minute goal ensured newly-promoted Mountain made it six points out of a possible nine to far.
