More latest signings across North Wales women’s football

Here’s a few of the latest signings on the North Wales women’s football scene.
CPD Y RHYL 1879
Jade Scott

With plenty of Tier 2 experience, central-midfielder Jade is a great addition to the CPD Y Rhyl 1879 squad.
She first made her mark in the Prestatyn Girls team which lifted the FAW Under-16 Welsh Cup in 2014-15 and landed three other trophies.
Jade went on to impress for Prestatyn’s senior side, netting 13 goals in 2018-19 before joining Airbus UK Broughton in the shortened 2019-20 campaign.
In 2021-22, Jade played for the Connah’s Quay Nomads side which performed well in the inaugural season of the Adran North, featuring in 12 games and scoring twice.
The following season saw Jade return to Airbus, where she made 13 appearances for the Tier 2 team.
Last term Jade switched to Adran North debutants NFA, helping them achieve their objective of staying in the league and netting three goals in 14 matches in the process.
Now comes a move to Rhyl 1879, and Jade is clearly looking forward to the 2024-25 season.
She said: “Extremely excited to have signed for Rhyl, as soon as the interest came about it was an easy decision for myself.
“The club has great ambition and there is a real drive to succeed. I’m looking forward to being a part of this group and club.”
Llinos Hughes

Central defender who began to make an impact in the 2019-20 season with then newly-formed NFA.
In 2021-22, she rose to Adran North level with Connah’s Quay Nomads, where she has spent the last three campaigns.
She made 40 appearances in all competitions for Nomads, netting four goals, and was part of the 2022 and 2023 NEWFA Challenge Cup winning sides.
Now she signs for the town where football began for her – Rhyl.
“It’s exciting starting fresh at the Lilywhites,” she said. “I played here at 16 and now I’m coming back at 22. The experience i’m bringing from 3 years at Nomads will help me as a player but also the team. The squad here have been nothing but welcoming and I’m excited to start the season.”
Jaz Mollat

Exciting young talent Jaz Mollat arrives at Rhyl from Prestatyn Sports.
The Lilywhites look forward to her continued development in the senior game.

THE NEW SAINTS
Becca Elliott

While it’s a blow for CPDM Bangor to lose a goalkeeper of Elliott’s quality, it is also a compliment to a developing team like the Citizens that Adran Premier clubs are pursuing the signatures of their players.
Becca started out with Mostyn Girls before featuring in the renowned Prestatyn Girls team which won the 2014-15 Welsh Cup and subsequent quadruple.
Having made appearances for both Wales’ U17 and U19 sides, she went on to represent Flint Town United, Prestatyn and Caernarfon Town before playing for Llandudno in the Welsh Premier Women’s League.
She then signed for newly-formed CPDM Bangor at the start of 2021-22.
Over the past three seasons, she has totalled more than 50 appearances for Bangor, winning the North Wales Women’s League title with the invincibles of 2022-23.
The 25-year-old will be hoping to play a key role in between the sticks for Shauna Duffy’s side as they look to get off to a strong start when the new Genero Adran Premier season begins in September.
Speaking on her arrival at TNS, Becca said: “I am extremely proud to be joining The New Saints.
“The club has great facilities and a full team of staff which includes a dedicated women’s goalkeeping coach, so this is the perfect step for me to continue developing in my career and an ideal opportunity to return to the Genero Adran Premier.
“I am looking forward to lining up alongside my new team-mates and making a strong start to the new season.”
