Some truly sizzling ties in the FAW Amateur Trophy!

Plenty of exciting ties came out of the hat in the FAW Trophy round one draw tonight.

In the North West, surely the most enthralling pick is Porthmadog v Holyhead Hotspur, two teams with a strong Tier 2 history now operating in Tier 3, with both expected to perform well this term.

Among the best of the North East is the clash between FC Queen’s Park and Connah’s Quay Town.

Town are a team very much on the up, having won promotion to the Ardal North West this campaign, whereas the Park are long established cup battlers and two seasons ago won a quintet of trophies as a club.
