Two new defenders have joined Flint Town United Ladies for the 2024-25 season.
India Howarth and Alaw Jones are both recent signings for the newly-promoted Genero Adran North side.
India, 18, is a product of Airbus UK Broughton, where she emerged through the ranks to become a first team regular, making 37 appearances over the past three seasons, 26 of them in the Tier 2 Adran North.
A centre-back, she has previously represented North Wales at age group level. Her experience of Tier 2 will no doubt help Flint in their debut season at the higher level.
Flint’s management said: “We are thrilled India has joined the Silkwomen and have loved watching her bond with our ladies during the pre-season.”
Alaw is a young defensive player who has turned out for NFA Juniors, as well as Connah’s Quay Nomads and Denbigh Town.
“We are excited at the prospect of seeing Alaw develop with Flint,” added the management.
Two or three more signings are believed to be on their way to the Essity Stadium. More details to follow.
