Guess who’s returned to Rhos United?

Rhos United are delighted to welcome back Lewis Sealey, who has scored 32 goals in 44 appearances for the club

He’s back!

An exciting day for Rhos United just got even more exhilarating with the announcement of striker Lewis Sealey’s return to the club.

The new addition can operate on either wing, play the ’10’ role or perform as an out-and-out centre forward.

The 20-year-old spent two outstanding seasons with Rhos before joining St Asaph City early in 2023-24.

However, Sealey is now back at Brookfield Drive keen to be part of a revitalised Rhos full of ambition and with new signings and quality retentions galore.

In 2021-22, Lewis netted 11 goals in 19 games in a Rhos shirt.

He joined Kinmel Bay in summer 2022 for a very brief period, but before the start of the season he was back at Rhos.

The 2022-23 campaign saw him bag another 19 goals in 23 appearances to make it 30 goals in 42 matches for Rhos. He was named North Wales Coast East Division One Player of the Season.

This season, he started off with a pair of goals for Rhos in a 6-2 Welsh Cup win at CPD Caer Clwyd, but after just one more outing he left Brookfield Drive and joined St Asaph City in September 2023.

Most of Lewis’ action with Saints centered around the reserve side, where he scored two in a win over Llangefni Town Reserves and a hat-trick in a 5-0 beating of Llangollen Town Reserves near the end of the season.

With Rhos strengthening their squad this summer and looking ahead ambitiously to 2024-25, Lewis did not need asking twice about a return to the club where he was such a success previously.

He said: “After not playing for half the season last year I wanted to get back to playing regularly and why not back where I started and after seeing who Rhos have brought in I just can’t wait to get started.”

Rhos United’s management commented: “This signing is massive for us, he’s loved by everyone in and around the club.

We know the talent he has and already shown in past seasons for Rhos, winning Golden Boot, most assists and player of the league. Lewis will give Rhos that extra confidence to strive to the top.”

Rhos have already announced the signings of Richard Hillier-Evans, Adam Williams and Rich Hill from Bow, plus the capture of Arron Querci from Abergele this week. Other new recruits are expected.

Many of last season’s squad have also re-signed.
