NWCFA Development Cup quarter-finals

CPD Pentraeth Dev 5 Penmaenmawr Phoenix Development 6

An 11-goal stormer at Bryniau eventually went the way of Penmaenmawr in extra time.

Allen Padua bagged the winner for Phoenix in the 111th minute of a thriller, Corey Lundstram (2, 1 pen), Billy Sieben (2) and Benn Lundstram sharing the rest of the goals for the visitors.

Pentraeth, who trailed 4-0 until past the hour, produced a great fightback to level the tie, Cai Evans-Hughes, Charlie Dales, subs Carter Cowling and Thomas Zalot with their replies.

Corey Lundstram’s spot-kick on 92 minutes edged Pen ahead again, but eight minutes over the 90, the Anglesey side were awarded a penalty which Dylan Jones converted.

Full-time 5-5!

It was left to Scottish sub Padua to strike the only goal of extra time which settled a tremendous contest.

CPD Llanberis Development 5 Bow Reserves 1

Deio Roberts and Cian Pleming put Llanberis two-up before Loui O’Carroll responded for the visitors before the interval.

All to play for in the second half, but the Darans took command, Sion Foulkes (2) and Kyle Jones with the decisive goals.

Bow had Nathan Bridges red-carded.

CPD Gaerwen Development 1 Kinmel Bay Development 3

Jacob Jones (2) and George Meredith supplied the goals which ensured Kinmel Bay progress to the next round.

Captain Calum Thomas scored for Gaerwen from the penalty spot.

CPD Y Glannau Development 1 Trearddur Bay Development 5

A trip to Kinmel Bay awaits Trearddur Bay in the semi-finals following last week’s superb win at Y Glannau.

After a goalless first half at Dinorben Field, Dave Webb broke the deadlock on 54 minutes, Nathan Owen, James Leatherbarrow, Adam Morris and Harri Hughes adding further strikes.

Sub Jerry Abbott replied for the hosts.
