SATURDAY, MAY 18

Division One

Holyhead Town 0 Llanystumdwy 9

Nine of the best from Llanystumdwy who keep hanging onto Bontnewydd’s coat tails in the title race.

With all teams playing 22 matches, unbeaten Bont are on 56 points from 20 (goal difference +58) and Llan have 55 from 21 (GD+48).

Bont will be crowned champions if they win at Llanfairpwll this Tuesday (May 21).

Any other outcome at Maes Eilian will see the battle to finish top decided in the final game of the season – Llanystumdwy v Bontnewydd on Friday, May 24 (6.30 pm).

‘Stumdwy kept things interesting with a 9-0 triumph at bottom side Holyhead Town, Arwyn Jones (2), Tomos Williams, Owen Pritchard (3), Guto Griffith, Darren Parry and Guto Gwenallt sharing the goals.

FRIDAY, MAY 17

Premier Division

Amlwch Town 0 Llanrug United 6

Jamie McDaid hit four to make it 54 in all competitions and 47 in the league on Friday evening.

Owain Jones and Jonathan Sadler added singles for the visitors.

Cemaes Bay 4 Glantraeth 1

Keenan Downey, Rhys Thomas, Iolo Hughes and a brilliant free-kick from Ben Hughes wrapped up the three points in Cemaes’ final game of the season, captain Dion Evans replying for Glantraeth.

CPD Pentraeth 2 CPD Mynydd Llandegai 2

All-square at Bryniau, Dylan Jones (penalty) and Joshua Camilleri on target for the hosts, Steven Tindall and Alwyn Roberts for the visitors.

Trearddur Bay 1 CPD Aberffraw 0

Champions Trearddur stretched their season-long unbeaten league record to 25 matches but had to be content with a 1-0 win over battling Aberffraw, Callum Mcminimee with the 76th minute decider.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

Premier Division

Amlwch Town 3 Talysarn Celts 2

It was a great night at Lon Bach as bottom side Amlwch celebrated their first league win of the campaign at the 26th attempt.

Jac Jones (2) and Patrick Wright’s stunning 94th minute decider secured three well-deserved points for the Anglesey side.

Luke Baum and Jac Pearce Jones, who also missed a penalty, replied for Celts.

Glantraeth 3 CPD Aberffraw 1

Steven Jones (2) and Dion Evans provided the goals which banked the points for Glantraeth in last Wednesday’s derby, Sam Eaden replying for Berffro.

CPD Llannerchymedd 3 Llanrug United 3

Cai Miller’s 92nd minute levellerhis second goal of the game – rescued a point for Llannerchymedd.

Gwion Owen was also on the mark for Medd, Owain Jones, Robin Whiteside Thomas and Jonathan Sadler hitting back for Llanrug.

CPD Pentraeth 2 CPD Nefyn United 4

A ninth successive league win for Nefyn rounded off their season on a high note.

The result clinched a third-place finish for the Penwaig, Tomi Evans (2), Dylan Sion Jones (pen) and captain Llyr Pennant Williams splitting the away goals, Cai Evans-Hughes and Matthew Parry for the home side.

Trearddur Bay 2 Cemaes Bay 1

Asa Thomas struck at the double to bag the points for Trearddur and boost his season’s goals tally to 55.

Daniel Jones responded for Cemaes in this latest of close-fought clashes between the Anglesey Bays.

Division One

Bontnewydd 2 Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs 0

Ianto ap Rhun gave Bont a 25th minute lead, but it was not until nine past the 90 that Luke Phillips converted the penalty which made sure of the points

CPD Mountain Rangers 1 CPD Boded 6

Casey Boylan (pen), Rob Tiesteel, Cian Owen, Chris Hughes, Alfie Dodds and Carwyn Hughes pocketed a goal apiece as third-place Boded ended their league campaign with a big win on the road.

Rhys Jones replied for Rangers, who had Stuart Cooke red-carded and assistant-manager Sion Davies dismissed for a second yellow.

TUESDAY, MAY 14

Division One

Bethesda Rovers 6 CPD Cefni 3

Rovers ended their season with an emphatic win and six different scorers.

Jordan Pritchard (pen), Mike Lewis-Williams, Leon Buckland, Rhun Morris, Gerallt Hughes and Jamie Roberts supplied the goals, Dion Jones (2) and Andy Williams hitting back for Cefni.
