In a week where a game of local football has been as rare as hen’s teeth, Llanfairpwll took advantage of the chance of some action by picking up a great three points at Penrhiw.
After a goalless first half, master marksman Marquis Holland broke the deadlock on 50 minutes with his 12th goal of the season, Owain Davies with the assist.
Tom Mummery doubled the away lead after 65, Ieuan Grenier the supplier.
And Tudur Morris-Jones made it 3-0 on 66, Holland assisting on this occasion.
Rovers had Leon Buckland red-carded on 72, but the hosts did manage to score a consolation through Jordan Pritchard with 77 on the clock.
This was Llanfairpwll’s fourth win in a row. Their last defeat, ironically, was home to Bethesda Rovers on February 24.
‘Pwll are now up to fifth in the table with Rovers in fourth.
Tonight’s scheduled clash between top two Llanystumdwy and leaders Bontnewydd was postponed due to afternoon rain.
Gruffudd Hughes-Owen scored the only goal of this tie in the 45th minute of play.
It was enough to clinch a narrow win for Ruthin over spirited visitors Greenfield.
