Both leaders Holywell and third-place Flint have tricky assignments on Tuesday night.
The Wellmen, with a one-point lead, travel to Guilsfield for what is always a testing trip, while Flint visit fourth-place Mold, winners of the WBS Northern League Cup at the weekend,
Bangor 1876 remained on course for a top-five finish in their first season at Cymru North level as they triumphed 2-1 away at Guilsfield.
Liam Morris and Iolo Hughes both scored spectacular goals from distance in the first half to give Bangor the advantage at the break.
Guilsfield’s top marksman Iwan Matthews netted his 19th league goal of the season to halve the deficit in the 88th minute, but there was to be no late equaliser for the hosts.
Owen Davies scored a hat-trick as Denbigh cruised to a 7-0 verdict at already-relegated Llanidloes Town.
Captain Paul Fleming netted the opening goal just before the half hour, then 10 minutes later he turned provider for Davies to add number two.
TNS loanee Davies grabbed his second to make it 3-0 by half-time, slotting home from Nathan Brown’s through ball.
Five minutes into the second half, Brown added a fourth with a superb lob over out-rushing keeper Luke Evans.
Davies completed his hat-trick with 55 minutes on the clock before Billy Holmes scored his first goal in over two years.
The scoring finished as it had started, Fleming finding the net with a powerful header.
Elliott Reeves became the first player to hit 30 Cymru North goals this season with a double in Flint’s comfortable victory at Bastion Gardens.
Reeves’ deflected cross found its way past Joe Lawlor to open the scoring in the 12th minute, while headers from Sol Forde and Anthony Stephens gave the Silkmen a 3-0 half time lead.
Flint added a fourth just before the hour mark as Reeves reached the 30-mark, finishing from Ben Hughes’ through ball.
Drama at the Memorial Playing Fields as Danny Sullivan’s last-gasp equaliser secured 10-man Holywell the point which put them back on top of the table.
Johnny Haseldin’s side played the majority of the game one short after Myles Hart was controversially sent off with only five minutes gone for a challenge on Llyr Morris just outside the penalty area..
The Wellmen had won 14 league games on the bounce, but looked set to suffer just a second defeat of the season after Morris put Ruthin ahead in the 88th minute when he controlled an excellent Osian Davies delivery into the box and finished well.
However, four minutes into stoppage time, a cross from the left was headed against the post by Julian Williams and Sullivan nodded in the rebound.
And Holywell almost won it from the last action of the game, Mark Winslade’s firm drive superbly saved low down by Ryan Goldston and the rebound was blocked.
