FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH TIER 1-2

Ruthin Town Reserves 5 Gresford Athletic Reserves 2

Hat-trick hero Sam Jones guided Ruthin to a convincing home win over Gresford.

Jones netted on 30, 40 and 52 minutes, with Berwyn Dafydd and Jake Hampson adding further goals for the home side.

Robert Reynolds provided both of the away replies, one a penalty.

Llangefni Town Reserves 4 CPD Pwllheli Reserves 1

A cracking win for Llangefni saw them leapfrog opponents Pwllheli in the table.
Tomos Williams (pen), Dion Billing, Tom Kelly (pen) and Jac Grindlay supplied the home goals, Robin Thomas with a consolation for the visitors.

Llay Welfare Reserves 0 Hawarden Rangers Reserves 3

Ewan Jones, Aaron North and Tom Gunson provided the goals which banked three points for impressive Hawarden.

Llay had Thomas Pugh sent off for a second yellow on 69 minutes, while Alun Wilson missed a penalty for the visitors at 3-0.

Nantlle Vale Reserves 6 Cefn Albion Reserves 1

Six-goal Nantlle are nine points clear at the summit after this thrashing of Cefn Albion.

Phil Warrington struck twice for the hosts, captain Hugh Jones, Cian Dafydd and Llion Griffiths (2) adding the rest, Kos Jones on target for Albion, who had Luke Hughes red-carded.

Saltney Town Reserves 0 Llanrwst United Reserves 1

Cai Kearney was one of the scorers in Llanrwst’s victory at the Dragon Steel Stadium, while Morgan McBreeze missed a penalty.

Saltney were down to 10 men from the 25th minute after Freddie Melia was red-carded.

Tyler Roberts failed from the penalty spot for the Bordermen.
