Bangor 1876 have strengthened their forwards department with an exciting pair of New Year signings.

Target man Dale Davies has joined the fan-owned club from Chirk AAA, while Harry Galeotti is back at Nantporth after a spell at Llangefni Town.

Davies, 28, has spent the past two seasons at Holyhead Road and played his final game for the Colliers against Guilsfield last Saturday.

Before that, he had successful spells with Brickfield Rangers, Corwen and Porthmadog.

Davies played a major role in helping Chirk gain promotion to the JD Cymru North. In 2021-22. He scored 19 goals in only 22 league appearances in the Lock Stock Ardal Northeast.

Bangor 1876 manager Michael Johnston has expressed delight at completing the signing:

“It’s great to welcome Dale to 1876,” he said. “He’s a player I have played with before and I know he will be a huge asset to us. He will offer something different going forward and I’m looking forward to working with him as a manager and a coach now.”

He is one of a group of players to have scored goals for 1876 in three different divisions, having found the net in tiers 4, 3 and 2. as well as in several cup competitions.

Hsrry began his footballing career at junior level in Llanfairpwll before joining the then Bangor City academy.

He then played senior football with Glantraeth, Llangefni and Holyhead Hotspur before joining Conwy Borough.

The striker has also played for Bangor University’s men’s football team and been selected for the Welsh Universities men’s football squad.

Johnston added: “It’s great to welcome Harry back to the club. It was a shame to see Harry move on but I knew he wanted game time. He’s a player who can make a huge impact on a game and on his day can be unplayable. It will be great to see him back at 1876.”
