Dan Evans’ 26th minute goal was enough to earn Conwy Borough a place in the last 16 of the national FAW Trophy.
Evans benefited from a Sean McCaffery assist to clinch victory for the Tier 3 hosts over their visitors from T4.
Meliden keeper Elijah Beattie was red-carded in the 96th minute at Y Morfa.

Unbeaten Flint stretched their successful streak to 12 matches with a clear win over visitors Porthmadog at the Essity Stadium.
The Silkmen applied plenty of early pressure, forcing Port keeper Alex Ward-Jones into a superb save, before taking the lead after 23 minutes through Joe Williams, Jake Phillips assisting.
Josh Jones went very close to putting Flint two-up just before half time, but seven minutes into the second half, the same player made no mistake.
Elliott Reeves pounced on a defensive error, scuffed his effort against the post, but Jones was there to finish.
Port had a big chance to pull one back after 71 minutes but Shaun Cavanagh’s penalty was saved by Josh Tibbetts.
The hosts brought on Harley Brindley-Peagram on 74 and just three minutes later he made it 3-0.
Only the heroics of away stopper Ward-Jones denied Lee Fowler’s side further goals.

After a barren run Gresford reignited their season with a six-goal caning of bottom side Chirk at The Rock.
The emphatic result pushed the Colliers up to seventh spot in the table.
Hat-trick hero Toby Gallagher-Keenan, Charlie Mann (2) and Haci Ozlu shared the goals, while Chirk had Tom Freeman red-carded in the second half.

Eighteen-year-old Owen Davies scored a remarkable six goals for new table-toppers Saints at Central Park.
It was ruthless stuff from the visitors against a Denbigh side which had won their last three games.
Gwion Dafydd added a double and Paris Gray a single for the travellers.

An eight-goal thriller saw Llandudno claim the win which edged them into fourth spot.
Cieran Williams, Harri Jones, Jacob Guy, Liam Ellis (penalty) and Levi Montgomery all netted a goal apiece for the Seasiders.
Mold kept in touch through net-finders from Jayden Duncan, , Aaron Filmer and a Jay Hughes spot kick.
