Ynys Môn netball squad prepare to compete at November Island Games

Meet the Ynys Môn netball squad

Ynys Môn have been invited to compete at the first ever invitational netball island games held in Isle of Man from 6-12th November.

Other competing islands include: Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland, Guernsey and Jersey.

Anglesey had over 50 girls trial in September for 15 spaces on the team.

The girls have been working hard in training in preparation for the games which will be tough going up against teams who play regularly in the English and Scottish Regional Leagues, in addition to competing against the Isle of Man, who are currently 27th in the World.

The first match is on the 7th November at 10 am vs Shetland and they will be shown on YouTube. Tickets are also available to buy for anyone travelling to the games.

The team will be getting their first run out at the Thundercats Tournament on the 28th October in their new dresses designed and supplied by Exile Sportswear.
