Report: Ollie Williams
A superb result for Liam Nash’s Denbigh Reserves side kept them unbeaten for the season and also ended the undefeated streak of leaders Chirk AAA Reserves.
Goals from Rhys Lloyd, Danny Clarke and debutant Andy Thomas secured the points at Central Park.
Nash made four changes to the side that beat Holywell 2-1 two weeks ago with captain Josh Griffiths, Aleksander Cyra and Danny Clarke returning and a debut handed to Sam Lewis.
Town began the game in control and had their just rewards on 18 minutes. Matthew Blake worked well in midfield, driving forward and played a looping ball over the top to Lloyd who poked home from close range.
Chances fell to Town through Clarke, Lloyd and Griffiths but Denbigh were unable to take them.
Denbigh remained on top in the second half, but while it remained 1-0 there was always the concern of Chirk striking back.
With 12 minutes left, home concerns were eased as Clarke doubled the advantage. A quick goal kick led to Geth Rogers playing a superb diagonal pass to Clarke who one-on-one finished with aplomb.
Into injury time and Town put the icing on the cake as substitute Thomas received the ball from Josh Jones, rounded the keeper, and made it three.
Oliver Lanceley showed the form which made him a first team regular two seasons ago when he bagged a hat-trick for Airbus Reserves at Alyn Park.
Back from a long-term knee injury, Lanceley struck on 11, 33 and 45+1 minutes for new table-toppers the Wingmakers, who really controlled the show.
Callum Hughes, Robert Austin, Robbie Jones and 16-year-old Archibald Floate shared the rest of the away goals, Jay Hughes replying for outgunned Mold.
Trailing 2-0 after 25 minutes, Albion rallied to record an impressive victory over their visitors.
Rhys Williams and Iwan Roberts-Jones put Pwllheli in initial command, but Luis Hughes pulled one back on 43, then Jamie Foulkes levelled matters in first half added time.
Foulkes struck again in the second half, then Sam Felgate and 16-year-old Archie Roberts sealed the points for the hosts, Cai Tate pocketing a third for the away side.
Matthew Jones gave Llangollen a 40th minute lead at The Ring, but Jon Collo’s equaliser in first half added time salvaged a point for Welly.
The visitors had two players dismissed and Llay also received a late red card.
Goals from Cian Dafydd on 32 minutes and Jamie Thomas after 57 were enough to secure maximum points for Nantlle.
Rhos had earlier taken the lead via a seventh-minute Steffan Williams strike.
Ethan Hill scored twice in three first-half minutes in Conwy’s resounding success at the Dragon Steel Stadium.
Alex Roberts, Ernest Obi and Toby Adams also found the net for the Tangerines.
