Caernarfon Town 3 (L Jones 21 & 73; Murphy 28)
CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon 1 (N/A 37)

The first ever women’s senior league match involving two Caernarfon teams went the way of Town.
Having ended long-standing ties with Town a couple of seasons ago, experienced duo Tania Jones and Keith Fearns have returned to senior football with CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon.
The staff at Caernarfon Town were very nervous regarding this game and who could blame them as number 11 and captain for CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon, Jini Hughes, was exceptionally quick but she was well marshalled by home defenders Elin Jones and hard tackler Jasmiine Leigh.
CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon had the better of the first 15 minutes as Hughes’ shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Poppy Jones.
Town rallied and midway through the first half a corner from captain Alaw Parry was nicely tapped in by Lisa Jones.

Caernarfon Town’s second goal came from another Parry flag-kick converted into a goal by Lauren Murphy.
On the half-hour a defensive mix-up allowed Jini Hughes to slot the ball past Poppy Jones for 2-1.
Before the break Jones had to make a fine stop to prevent an equaliser.
CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon were quick off the mark at the start of the second half and almost scored when Hughes hit the cross bar.
Tref goalkeeper/coach Tania Jones then produced a brilliant double save to deny Lisa Jones and Alaw Parry.
Caernarfon Town’s decisive third goal came on 73 minutes, Parry setting up Lisa Jones for her second.
Llanystumdwy 1 (N Jones 9)
Llangefni Town 5 (J Jones 1, 2, 3 & 60)

Teenager Jess Jones scored the fastest hat-trick in Llangefni’s history as she netted in the first, second and third minute at Parc Dwyfor.
It was a remarkable feat for the youngster who made her mark as a prolific goal-getter for Caernarfon Under-16’s before joining Cefni last season.
She was also a huge hit for Ynys Mon at this summer’s Island Games in Guernsey,
Jones added her fourth goal on the hour for a visiting side which enjoys the early leadership of the West Division.
Nia Jones replied for Llanystumdwy, who came back down to earth after their celebrated North Wales Coast Challenge Cup victory over tier 2 NFA in midweek.
