Three quality innings at the top of the order set up Wales NC North for a comfortable five-wicket success at Stafford Cricket Club on Tuesday.
Set 220 to win off 50 overs, St Asaph brothers Mathew Ryan and William Ryan, plus the very much in-form Harrison Jones of Denbigh, supplied the bulk of the winning total.
Wales NC North skipper William Ryan won the toss and put the home side into bat.
Staffs scored a useful 219-7 off 50 overs, opener and captain Matthew Morris hitting 83.
Wickets were spread around for the visitors, Harrison Jones, William Norman, Jack Parry and Jack Rimmington claiming a victim apiece.
New-ball bowler Owen Reilly conceded just six runs off his five overs.
Wales NC North made a superb start in reply, Mathew Ryan and Harrison Jones putting on 93 for the first wicket.
Ryan was first to depart for a brilliant 65 off 57 balls, then Jones and William Ryan added another 79 for wicket two.
William Ryan was out for 46 before Jones was caught for a patient 56, leaving the away side 198-3 and close to victory.
Nathanael Scott (18) and William Norman (13) both fell on 216 before Ben Beaver and Matthew Humphreys saw the Welsh over the winning line with 20 balls to spare.
