Two late goals from Jamie Hulse’s Ruthin side clinched them a league and cup double.
Yesterday’s FAW Reserve North West League Cup Final at Tower Fields, Llangollen, was a cracking Vale of Clwyd derby.
Ruthin took a 28th minute lead when Alex Webster lashed in a beauty from the edge of the box.
Keeper Morgan Edmunds had to pull off two good saves before the break to keep Ruthin in front.
Two minutes into the second half the scores were level when Edmunds kept out an Aled Williams shot, but Harvey Bennett put away the rebound.
In the 77th minute, Denbigh were in front when Williams scored after a Jack James shot rebounded off the post.
Robbie Williams made it all-square again on 81 after capitalising on a defensive error, then Denbigh were reduced to 10 men when Sion Jones was dismissed for a second yellow card after 83.
The match was decided in the 88th minute when from a quickly taken corner defender Meirion Pughe got his boot on a cross come shot to divert the ball home for the winner.
Ruthin assistant-manager Ashley Simm was shown a red card in added time.
