Goalden Girl: Will goal magician Kirstie Kural end the season with a bang this Sunday ?

Nomads captain Kirstie Kural hopes to round off a great season by winning the NEWFA Challenge Cup this Sunday – and maybe adding a goal or two to her awesome tally of 33. As we always say – not bad for a midfielder! Pic by Sam Eaden/FAW

Connah’s Quay Nomads diamond Kirstie Kural will hope to deliver a glorious final chapter in a goal-packed season when she plays in the North East Wales FA Women’s Challenge Cup Final against Airbus this weekend.

Nomads will be aiming to retain the cup they won last year and central to their hopes is attacking midfielder Kural, who has netted an amazing 33 goals this term.

While catching Goalden Girl table leader Rosie Hughes (42 goals for Wrexham) is a very ambitious target, we can expect the Nomads star to be a prominent figure in the final at Ruthin Town FC on Sunday, May 21, 3.30 pm kick-off.

Genero Adran North gems Hughes and Kural lead the overall goal standings for the season and the battle for third place is interesting with three of four in with a chance.
