Seventeen-year-old sensation Osian Williams notched his 15th goal of the season for Llanrug in the latter stages of their home draw with Menai Bridge Tigers tonight.

Osian, who made his first team debut last season and has also represented Caernarfon Town FC’s Development side, is the son of Eithin Duon legend David Noel Williams, probably one of the finest players ever to represent Llanrug.

On March 18, both father and son scored in a 3-1 win away to Nefyn United.

Tonight saw Osian deliver an 89th minute equaliser having earlier provided an assist.

After a goalless first half, Osian set up Carl Griffiths for Llanrug’s opener.

An Eifion Williams own goal on 68 put Tigers level and the Anglesey side took the lead on 81 through Tom Parry.

Llanrug, who were on a run of eight straight league wins, found themselves in danger of suffering a first defeat since February, but in the 89th minute Kevin Lloyd gave the assist and Osian Williams equalised.

Osian was in ruthless form at the weekend when he hit four for Llanrug in an 8-0 demolition of Penrhyndeudraeth (more details to follow).

Kane Roberts’ 76th minute spot-kick earned Mynydd Llandegai a great three points at home to Talysarn.

It was a 10th goal of the season for the 24-year-old Roberts, who is having an impressive campaign at Penrhiw.
