All hail the champions – TREARDDUR BAY: How the title was won and updated honours list

Trearddur Bay in action against Llangoed (green) this season

ALL hail Trearddur Bay – the 2022-23 tier 5 North Wales Coast West Division One champions.

After taking a season’s break from senior men’s Saturday football, the Lon Isallt club has returned in style this term with another piece of silverware for their bulging cabinet.

As Trearddur Bay United, they won 12 trophies in 10 seasons between 2008-09 and 2015-16, and now having dropped the ‘United’ from the name – with the addition of ladies and juniors teams – have resumed their success story.

Nick Dumbarton’s Bay side became title winners tonight without kicking a ball.

Second-place Cemaes Bay’s 1-0 defeat at Bontnewydd now means no-one can catch unbeaten Trearddur.
