CPD Y Glannau 7 (H Bellis 5, T Jones, Clark)
Rhyl All Stars 0

Harrison Bellis blasted another five goals to make it 55 in all competitions this season.

In an emphatic win for Y Glannau at home to Rhyl All Stars, Bellis also boosted his league tally to 38 goals.

After a good start from the hosts, Tom Jones headed in the opener after Joey Fontana nodded an Alec Williams corner back across goal.

In the 23rd minute Aaron Dodwell was pushed in the area and Bellis smashed in the penalty. For arguing against the decision, an All Stars player was red-carded.

Brad Wright produced a superb save to deny the visitors pulling one back and before half time it was 3-0. Alec Williams picked the ball up on the left, beat two and fed Bellis, who cut in and smashed home.

Although three-up, at half time the hosts were not particularly happy with the performance. When All Stars went down to 10 men, Y Glannau slowed the press down. Often the final pass was lacking and they knew they had to improve second half as it all felt a little flat.

All credit to All Stars, for the first 15 minutes of the second half, they were the better team, producing a few efforts on goal.

Y Glannau made it 4-0 against the run of play when Chris McQuillen and Dodwell combined nicely to find Bellis, who finished well for his hat-trick.

Fontana’s lovely ball set up the fifth on 70, Bellis again producing a really good finish.

Keeper Wright’s distribution was fantastic and his long ball was flicked on by Tom Jones before Bellis volleyed into the bottom corner from distance.

Bellis was deprived of a sixth when he rattled the bar before the hosts made it 7-0 after a long free kick into the box by Kyle Hedge was converted into a goal by substitute Rhys Thomas Clark.

Late on the two All Stars substitutes linked up well and Warren Hampson was unlucky to clatter the bar.

Rhos United 2 Abergele 5

Well done Sam

Abergele are on the brink of back-to-back titles after another win kept them six points clear at the peak.

Gele broke the deadlock just 10 minutes in as poacher Dom Holland was first to react to a Greg Hilditch throw-in.

Fantastic link-up play between James Lloyd, Holland and Jack Hoult led to a well-taken finish from 12 yards by Hoult for a 2-0 lead .

Rhos struck back soon after through Jake Edgley before Hoult played in James Lloyd to make it 3-1.

Holland then earned a spot-kick in the 35th minute which was dispatched by penalty expert Hilditch.

Star midfielder Sam Ashton laid off to Connah Atkinson, who scored a screamer from 30 yards out in the 40th minute.

Rhos then earned a penalty which was well placed by Matt Christie into the bottom left corner just before half-time.

A second half devoid of goals meant that Abergele took all 3 points in a must-win fixture.

CPD Caer Clwyd 1 Bow 5

Owain Jones gave Clwyd a fourth-minute lead before second-place Bow hit back to claim a 5-1 victory.

Mike Chapman equalised on 33 minutes and it remained one-apiece up to half time.

Bow turned on the power in the second half.

On the hour, Ashley Seddon struck and Richard Hill made it 3-1 two minutes later.

Azz Boyle converted a penalty before Chapman completed the scoring on 81.

That’s eight straight league wins for Bow and 11 without defeat.

Llysfaen 0 NFA 2

NFA are now the only team which can deny Abergele the title.

To do so on goal difference, the Rhyl side would have to win their last three games by hefty margins and hope Gele are beaten in their final fixture at home to Llandudno Amateurs.

With a +21 difference GD in Abergele’s favour, it’s a tall order for NFA.

Today they won at Llysfaen, goals from Niall McGuinness and Matthew Robinson in the second half sealing the points. The visitors also had Ciaran Brady red-carded on 67.
