There is just over a fortnight to go before Denbigh Town aim to become the ninth North Wales club in the past 12 seasons to lift the FAW Amateur Trophy.

Newtown’s Latham Park has been confirmed as the venue when the Ardal North West title contenders take on Trethomas Bluebirds in the final of the national competition for tier 3 clubs and below.

Dewi Llion Jones’ side will be looking to follow in the recent footsteps of Mold Alexandra, Cefn Albion, Conwy Borough, Chirk AAA, Holywell Town (x 2), Llanrug United, Caernarfon Town and Glan Conwy in winning the Trophy, played for since 1890-91 and formerly known as the Welsh Junior Cup, Welsh Amateur Cup and FAW Intermediate Cup.

Denbigh are chasing a treble, having also made the final of the Ardal North League Cup and currently going strong in the Ardal North West title race in third spot.
