Well done Sade Benjamin – first to 50 goals for NFA!

One of the best strikers in the North Wales Women’s Football League reached an impressive landmark today.

Sade Benjamin notched her 50th competitive goal for NFA in a 5-0 (apt scoreline) victory at Llanystumdwy, also providing three assists in the match.

She is currently second highest scorer in the league for 2022-23 on 22 goals and clear top of the assists on 20.

The 28-year-old joined NFA last season after previously representing Rhyl FC and Rhyl Development.

Over the past two seasons, Sade has been part of a terrific triumvirate at NFA which also includes Emily Jones and Amy Webster, the trio having notched 119 goals between them since the start of 2021-22.

Jones has 46 career goals for NFA and Webster 43, so they should also reach their half-centuries in the not-too-distant future.

Named after the famous jazz-pop singer, Sade’s 50 goals in league and cup for Rhyl-based NFA have come in just 43 appearances.

She has pocketed four hat-tricks for the team and her biggest haul in a single game is five.

Sade has only ever been on the losing side three times in the 29 matches she has scored in for NFA and not once this season – scored in 12, won 12.
