Title hopefuls Bangor 1876 will be out for revenge this Saturday when they host a Denbigh Town side which has already beaten them twice this season.
Town triumphed 3-1 against 1876 in the League Cup in December and 1-0 a fortnight ago in the league, both games played at Central Park.
Michael Johnston’s team made a welcome return to winning ways last weekend with a 3-0 result at Clywedog Park.
A whirlwind start secured the game for the visitors, who took the lead in just the third minute.
Shaun Lock took a long throw from the left which reached Cameron Barry, who touched the ball into the path of Corrig McGonigle.
Without a goal in his three previous games – a drought by the prolific net-finder’s standards – McGonigle scored from the edge of the six-yard area.
A minute later, Les Davies flicked on Lock’s long throw and McGonigle again netted from close range – his 47th goal of the season.
Just after the quarter hour, Ben Owen took a quick throw-in on the right to give Jamie Petrie a chance to run into the right side of the area.
Petrie struck a first-time shot on the run which went over home goalkeeper Joe Lawlor and into the top corner.
A couple of fine stops from Carl Jones prevented Rangers hitting back before the break.
The second half brought quite a few more chances for 1876, but no goals.
Callum Parry’s goal gave Llanrwst a half-time lead at Treborth, Bangor, last Friday, but Bryan Roberts equalised on 76 minutes to earn Albion a point and end a run of five straight league defeats.
Gerwyn Roberts and Iwan Jones provided the first half goals which earned Llangefni three points at Cae Bob Parry.
A fifth straight league win and now nine games without defeat for the leaders who sealed the result with an 80th minute goal from Kieran Ellis at The Ring.
Joe Kelly’s 89th minute goal earned Saltney a point at Cae Seilo.
George Davies had put the Bordermen ahead in the fifth minute, but an Osian Pritchard penalty after 52 made it all-square before Felin took the lead on 79.
Saltney manager Neill Rees Hughes was shown a red card in the 55th minute.
Rhys Lloyd put bottom side Rhostyllen one-up in the 19th minute, but Nantlle turned the tables to lead at half time through a late Llion Griffiths double.
Griffiths completed his hat-trick in the second half, while substitute Sion Jones also made the scoresheet.
Two players were shown straight red cards in the 70th minute – Lloyd for Rhostyllen and Jamie Jones of Nantlle Vale.
Another ruthless, goal-packed show from Denbigh Town last Friday, Jason Foulkes (14 and 36 minutes), Sam Haddon (33), Jake Walker (51 and 56) and Nathan Brown (76) sharing the half-dozen.
Richie Foulkes’ 95th minute equaliser earned Mountain a penalty shoot out, but it was Ardal North East hosts Bow Street who prevailed on spot-kicks.
Sion Ewart had put Bow one-up in the match itself after 56 minutes.
Flint’s Rowan Brooks was sent off for two yellows on 83.
