Corwen Football Club are thrilled with the news that one of their former junior players has signed a four-year deal with Manchester United.
Louie Bradbury, 14, played for Corwen’s under-7 and under-8 junior teams before his incredible talent was spotted by Shrewsbury Town, where he has spent the last six and a half years.
Now he has a shot at the big-time after signing for Premier League giants United, one of the world’s most famous and decorated clubs.
Corwen media officer Gavin Billington said: “Everyone at Corwen FC is immensely proud of Louie and all wish him every success on his continued journey in football.
“Congratulations Louie and all the Bradbury family, this couldn’t be happening to a nicer family.”
Louie spent a number of years in the Shrewsbury academy, progressing through the age groups.
The striker’s performances at club level have led to several appearances for Wales.
He was recently called up to the Wales Under 15s squad ahead of their clash with the Republic of Ireland.
Corwen has a habit of unearthing top talent.
Former Liverpool and Wales defender Gareth Roberts, plus Fulham’s Cymru midfielder Harry Wilson both hail from the town.
