THE TWO COUNTIES CUP

Johnstown 1 Ruabon Rovers 9

Andrew Swarbrick netted a remarkable SEVEN goals as Ruabon roared into the next round of the Two Counties Cup.

Former Cefn Druids star Swarbrick scored on 6, 8, 19, 35, 38, 49 and 72 minutes, while Brynley Thomas and James Jones added one apiece, Rovers taking a 7-0 lead into the break.

Rowan Birch notched a consolation reply for Johnstown on 61 minutes.

Holywell United 1 Acton 3

Oliver Scarsbrook (2) and Samuel Giles shared the goals as Acton took the honours 3-1 at Holywell, Dylan Mackie responding.

Overton Recreation 2 FC United of Wrexham 0

A much better scoreline for FCUW than many they have encountered of late, a Harry Massey double winning the day for Overton.

Massey converted a penalty on the stroke of half time and added a second goal just past the hour.

THE RESERVE CUP

FC Queen’s Park Reserves 6 Castell Alun Colts Reserves 1

Daniel Roberts notched a hat-trick, including a spot-kick as Park eased into the next round.

Sean Price, Liam Lawrence and Derrell George supplied the other home goals, Callum Edwards hitting back late for Colts.

Ruthin Town Colts 4 Lex XI Reserves 6

Simon Edge put away a treble for the Lawmen in their high-scoring victory at Ruthin.

Joel Edwards, Liam Collo and George Baxter added one each for the visitors, George Mitchell (2, 1 pen) and Meilir Hedd Williams (2) ensuring the hosts were always in the contest.

PREMIER CUP

Castell Alun Colts 3 Greenfield 2

Luca Nardo, Reece Jones and Allister Belk put Alun 3-0 up before responses from Lewis Williams and Kieran Roberts gave Greenfield hope, but it was not to be.

Coedpoeth United 1 Mynydd Isa Spartans 2 (AET)

Harry Lambert plundered the winner for Spartans in the final minute of extra time.

Jordan Walker had earlier edged the visitors in front via an 11th minute penalty only for Michael Taylor to equalise on 28.

PREMIER DIVISION

Brymbo 0 New Brighton Villa 10

Ten goals for the Yellers in a ruthless display at the bottom side.

Goals were shared between James Beck (3). Kris Turner (2, 1 pen), Samuel Wainwright, Matthew Robinson, Lewis Tudor, Oliver Howarth and Scott Davies.

RESERVE DIVISION

Coedpoeth United Reserves 3 Penyffordd Lions Reserves 1

After a goalless first half, Tyler Morris broke the deadlock for Coedpoeth on 52 before two in a minute from Jacob Williams put the hosts in control.

Adam Pugh struck a late consolation for Penyffordd.
