ARDAL NORTHERN LEAGUES REPORTS – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST

Cefn Albion 6 Llanfair United 1
Ten-man Albion produced a performance more in keeping with their true selves as they hit fellow title contenders Llanfair United for six at Clywedog Park.
Ian Andrews’ side moved four points clear at the summit after this impressive victory, which followed a series of slightly below-par displays from the Cefners.
The first half went well for the leaders, Dion Gibbins giving them a 22nd minute lead from a Josh Sumner assist before Chris Budrys doubled the scoreline on 33.

Six minutes into the second half came a setback for the hosts as their disciplinary problems raised their head again when Jordan Williams was shown a straight red card.
However, playing a man short did not stop Albion’s dominance, Gibbins making it 3-0 on 68 minutes.
Alex Williams soon added a fourth, and although Richard Davies pulled one back for United in the 77th minute, Jordan Johnson and substitute Luke Griffin would strike again for the table-toppers before the end.
Caersws 7 Corwen 0
The second-place blues emphatically beat Corwen 7-0 to keep up their impressive league form.
Goals were scored by Ian Probert, Neil Mitchell, Craig Harris, Scott Williams, Glyn Coney, Norton Collins and a first for youngster Jared Marks.
Dolgellau Athletic 0 Builth Wells 2
A goal five minutes from half time by on form Lyndon Jones another in the 79th from Danny Ives saw the Bulls claim a well-deserved three points in a dominant display at Cae Marian.
Llanuwchllyn 0 Llangollen Town 1
Benjamin Wilson’s 65th minute goal sealed a highly creditable win for Llangollen at the Village Hall Field.
Penycae 0 Bow Street 2

Sixth-place Bow Street kept up their great run with a two-goal triumph at The Riverside.
Steffan Davies broke the deadlock on eight minutes and Ifan Burrell added a second goal after 79.
Rhayader Town 2 Llanrhaeadr 1
A welcome three points for Rhayader against the bottom side, Joseph Wozencraft (66 minutes) and Ryan Addison (85) with their goals.
Carwyn Howell’s 90th minute reply served as a mere consolation for Llan, who had Daniel Kelly red-carded on 58 when the score was 0-0.

ARDAL NORTH LEAGUE CUP
CPD Y Felinheli 2 Rhostyllen 1

Gavin Lloyd-Jones and Iwan Owen provided the goals which earned Felinheli a narrow cup success at Cae Seilo.
Tom Douglas kept Rhostyllen in the tie with a 65th minute equaliser.

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 3 Brickfield Rangers 3
Victory would have put 1879 top of the table, but they blew a 3-1 lead and had to settle for a point at Belle Vue.
And to make matters worse the home side picked up another red card for their unwanted collection.
Still beset by injuries and suspensions, Gareth Thomas’ team fell a goal behind when Harley Steel scored in the 25th minute for Brickfield.
Macauley Taylor equalised on 39 to make it all-square at half time.
Things looked better for the hosts when Taylor put them 2-1 up on 52 minutes, then Reece Fairhurst extended the lead with a penalty after 73.
But Brickfield, beaten 2-0 at home by Rhyl a fortnight earlier, were not finished and goals from Kian Davies and Gerson Silva Neto on 78 and 82 minutes respectively made it three-apiece.
The home team had Warren Adam dismissed for a second yellow card in the 90th minute and the final whistle blew on a 3-3 draw.
Llangefni Town 4 Saltney Town 3
Matty Jones (2), Josh Stanley Williams and Gerwyn Roberts delivered the goals which clinched ever-improving Llangefni another three points.
Stephen Chiocchi had given Saltney an early lead, but the Bordermen then fell 4-1 behind before late goals from Sam Henry and Tom Rowlands gave them hope.
Llanrwst United 0 Flint Mountain 1
Hosts Llanrwst were left shell-shocked and gutted after Sam Molyneux’s 95th minute goal clinched all three points for the Mountain.
The Rwsters had Chris Beardmore sent off for a second yellow card in the 86th minute, but still the Conwy Valley side had done more than enough to deserve something out of the game, their overall performance excellent.
Leon Doran missed a 79th minute penalty for the home team, while Mountain had Richie Foulkes red-carded in the second half.
