Amlwch triumph in island Welsh Cup derby

Amlwch Town made a winning start to the season under new manager Darren Hughes

A magnificent long range free-kick from Emma Roberts capped an outstanding performance by Amlwch which put them through to the next round of the Welsh Cup.

Despite a number of notable absentees, and only one sub, each player showed the determination and skill needed to come away with an excellent away win in their first game under new manager Darren Hughes.

Sara Furlong gave Amlwch a very early lead before the home side equalised through a fantastic effort from Jennifer Cox after 11 minutes

A clinical brace from Ellie Jones, goals on 23 and 61 minutes, put Amlwch in control before Roberts rounded things off with that tremendous free kick.
