An unbroken second-wicket stand of 124 between James Carter and Nick Flack led Chirk to an emphatic victory over Shelton seconds on Saturday.
The result leaves the North Wales side 10 points clear at the Shropshire County League Division One summit with four rounds of matches to play.
Unfortunately, lack of availability meant Chirk seconds had to concede their weekend match, so the firsts suffered a five-point penalty.
Shelton seconds won the toss and chose to bat at Holyhead Road. They were bowled out for 157 in 40.3 overs.
Liam Walker took a first-team personal best 4-30 off nine overs, Flack claimed 2-25 and Jonathan Phillips 2-42.
In reply, Chirk reached 161-2 in 25.5, openers Ollie Gough and Walker (19) departing before Carter (65 no) and Flack (59 no) took centre stage with a match-winning partnership.
Chirk are away to Newtown this Saturday, 12.30 pm start.
Their final four fixtures are against teams placed between 6th and 9th at present in Division One.
