It was a fine day for North Wales sides in the Liverpool Competition, with three victories, a winning draw and a narrow loss out of six contests.
Second-place Colwyn Bay only just missed out on what would have been a massive win in their quest for the Division One title.
Despite this, the North Wales side produced a fine display in a winning draw against fellow high-flyers Rainford, Sion Morris and Zack Gidlow in great nick with the bat.
Colwyn won the toss and decided on first knock, Morris (95) and Gidlow (77) putting on 131 for the second wicket.
Adam Campion finished 47 not out and added another 92 with Morris as the hosts set 255-5 declared off 57.1 overs.
In reply, Rainford slipped to 26-2 and 89-4 before a fifth-wicket combination of 97 steadied their effort.
They eventually clung on at 223-8, Craig Woods 79 and skipper John Dotters 50, while for Bay, spinner Campion came up with magnificent figures of 5-31 off 11, Jagjit Sandhu 2-69.
Match drawn – points Bay 9 Rainford 7.
The Hall lost out by just seven runs in a great battle at Smithy Lane.
Ainsdale set a challenging 221-5 declared off 50 overs having been reduced to 38-4 at one stage following some devastating early bowling from Dhanosh Kaludewa (4-95).
However, a game-changing 121 from Muhummad Irfan and Shaun Rimmer’s 60 not out enabled the visitors to make a far more formidable total.
Hall gave it their very best shot in response, but no-one was able to make the big innings needed to attain the victory.
Kaludewa did best with 31, Thomas Doggett 27, David Parry 26, Will Edwards and Joshua Leach 25 apiece and Evan Withe 21, but the hosts ended up 214 all out, Andrew Barlow 4-29 and Alex Rigby 4-46 for a triumphant Ainsdale.
A crucial unbroken seventh-wicket stand of 25 between Rhys Jones and skipper David Harris guided Prestatyn to a thrilling and important win in a low-scorer at Beach Close.
Put into bat, Trinity were dismissed for 115, Sampath Perera picking up 4-24, Sheil Sethi 3-42 and Adam Tidswell 2-29.
Prestatyn were 46-2 in reply before dipping to 94-6, then Rhys Jones (25 no) and Harris (10 no) saw the hosts home to a 20-4 points verdict.
Earlier, Gareth Leonard had made his usual important contribution, posting 25.
Star performer Arthur Jones scored 76 and took 3-30 in a fine effort from title hopefuls Colwyn Bay seconds.
Bay made 215-8 declared, Jones the main contributor, while Jamie Moorhouse hit 36 not out down the order and skipper Tom Roberts 33 higher up.
Park were sent tumbling to 122 all out, Jones with those three victims, Shaun Davies 2-22 and Moorhouse 2-33.
Opener and skipper Liam Evans-Ford led the way with 65 as Northop Hall won convincingly at Trinity.
Hall made 209-8 off 45 overs after being inserted by the hosts, their other opening bat Renit Adke second-best scorer on 28.
Adke completed a good day with 4-16 and Evans-Ford grabbed 2-24 off 10 as the North Wales side sent the home side packing for 108.
