Chirk AAA have landed a huge tie at home to Bala Town in the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup’s northern section.
The Colliers, newly-promoted to the tier 2 Cymru North this season, advanced to the north last 16 with a 1-0 win over Conwy Borough on Sunday.
Opponents Bala were runners-up in the Cymru Premier last term and are regular competitors in the Europa League.
What a belter for Chirk! Belterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Elsewhere, Holyhead Hotspur or Llandudno will host Caernarfon Town.
Llandudno beat Hotspur 2-1 in Saturday’s first round tussle at the New Stadium, but the tie is now subject to a protest and subsequent investigation. It is alleged Llandudno fielded two unregistered players. Oo-er butty!
