Northop won by 77 runs and 285-202 on aggregate

Northop are the 2022 Flintshire Knockout champions after completing a comprehensive win at Alder Meadow in Thursday’s second leg.

Leading by just six runs from the first leg two nights earlier, Northop ran away with it in the return encounter.

Put into bat, the Flint Road side hammered 142-9 off 20 overs, Leo Grieg hitting 31, James Roberts 27 and Chris Brooks 24.

James Hughes took 3-30 and Chris Moss 3-31 for Pont, who were left needing 149 off their 20 to win the cup.

The hosts got nowhere near, being bowled out for 65, Charlie Collins nabbing 3-14, Tom Sudder 2-10, Matthew Williams 2-13 and Matthew Mullarkey 2-24 for Northop, who won by 83 runs overall.
