St Asaph pace bowler Jason Foulkes is back on the international stage.
The right-arm seamer has been included in the Wales National Counties squad for Sunday’s NCCA One Day Trophy clash in Dorset.
The 27-year-old has made his debut for the Wales T20 and 50-over sides this summer.
He took 3-18 in his first appearance for the T20 team against Buckinghamshire last month.
On May 22, Foulkes made his first One-Day Trophy appearance for Wales in their win over Bucks at Port Talbot, taking a wicket and bowling a good, tight spell.
Now he returns this Sunday, fresh from his six-wicket haul against Nantwich in the ECB National Club KO last Sunday for St Asaph, who lost the match but still performed marvels to reach the last 32.
All-rounder Foulkes, who also represents Wales NC North, scooped 53 wickets last year when St Asaph lifted the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division title for the first time.
He has notched more than 300 first team league wickets for Saints and his 53 in 2021 was the highest in the entire NWCL.
Wales head into the final round of group games in the NCCA One Day Trophy on Sunday, hoping to secure pole position for the second successive season – a feat only achieved once in their history during 2004-2005.
For Sam Pearce’s men, they will be looking to carry on the momentum from last week’s 149 run hammering of Wiltshire at Llandysul as they head to Wimborne against challengers Dorset.
