Happy birthday to CPDM Bethel all-round super talent Katie Midwinter – 25 today.
Born on June 11, 1997, the spectacular goal specialist has been lighting up North Wales women’s football for a number of years.
She spent 10 years from the age of 11 with Bethel, where she earned selection for Wales Under-17 development squads, before helping form the first-ever Bethesda ladies team in 2018-19.
It was a rewarding venture, with Pesda winning the North Wales League Division Two title and Katie scoring 25 goals – one less than she managed for Bethel the season before.
At the end of 2018-19 she lifted the Grassroots North Wales Women’s Player of the Season award.
Bethesda folded in early 2019-20 and Katie returned to Bethel, where she scored five goals in a season cut short due to the Pandemic.
The 2020-21 campaign was completely scrapped for the same reason, but Katie bounced back in style for Bethel last season – the team’s first in the national tier 2 Ardal North League – scoring 16 goals.
