NORTH WALES ZONE 2 – ROUND ONE

BANGOR 67-2 DENBIGH 66-10

A comfortable win for Bangor after they blitzed out visitors Denbigh for a low total at Ty Newydd last Sunday.

The away side, who won the toss and elected to bat, nosedived from 58-3 to 66 all out, Jonny Wells, Owen Reilly and Saami Welsh taking two wickets apiece.

Bangor then coasted to 67-2 in 11.1 overs.

NORTH WALES ZONE 1 – ROUND ONE

BUCKLEY 181-10 GRESFORD 182-2

Rocco Franco scored 107 for Buckley – but it was not enough to bring the home side victory at Lane End.

Franco shared in an opening stand of 80 with William Norman (33) as Bucks were all out for 181 in 39.3 overs, Matthew Thompson taking 4-31 and Toby Bellis 2-11 for Gresford.

The visitors made it to 182-2 in 35.3, opener Daniel Williams 93 and Jack Bunkell 42 no, Fabio Franco 2-34 for the home team, who lost by eight wickets.
