Hawarden Rangers Veterans still maintain a 100 percent record in the North East Wales League

Hawarden Rangers have maintained their 100 percent record in the North East Wales Football League Vets Championship Division with back-to-back wins over the past two weekends.

A first-half hat-trick from Sam Pugh helped guide Rangers to a 4-0 victory at home to Mochdre Sports on Sunday.

Tim McCarthy was also on target for the Flintshire side at Gladstone Playing Fields.

Seven days earlier, Hawarden triumphed 3-0 at Penmaenmawr Phoenix Vets.

Matt Phillips. Sam Pugh and Steve Evans were on target for the visitors.

In the seven-team division, Hawarden have yet to play Penmaenmawr Phoenix at home and still face away trips to FC Queen’s Park, Mynydd Isa Spartans and Denbigh Wanderers to complete their 12 fixtures.
