There will be at least one team from Anglesey in this season’s NWCFA Junior Cup final.
This is assured after Ynys Môn clubs Llanfairpwll and Cemaes Bay were drawn together in the semi-finals.
Cemaes have never won the cup, this campaign involving tier 5 teams across the North Wales Coast East and West Leagues, in their history, while ‘Pwll’s first team have lifted the trophy three times – in 1975-76, 1980-81 and 1982-83 – and their reserves were successful in 2015-16.
In the other semi, the 2004-05 Junior Cup winners Llanystumdwy will take on either Talysarn Celts or Llannerchymedd, who are set to play their outstanding quarter-final at the third attempt this Saturday.
