Ffion Williams led the way with five goals as Bethel ended a run of four successive defeats with a double-figure showing at bottom side Denbigh.

The Caernarfon-area villagers shone under the floodlights at Central Park in this first North Wales women’s football fixture played since February 6 following two blank weekends due to mainly waterlogged pitches.

The visitors were 6-0 up at half time, Ffion Williams and Jordanne Greenough netting two apiece, Fflur Williams and Anest Roberts one each.

Defender Anest, 19, who before tonight had only played 45 minutes of this season due to a long-term injury lay-off, scored an absolute beauty from 30 yards which went in off the bar.

The one-sidedness of the contest continued into the second half, Ffion Williams adding two more and Fflur Williams another one, while Greenough completed a hat-trick.

Mari Gibbard and Shona Roberts made the scoresheet before Ffion Williams claimed her fifth.
Substitute Katie Midwinter completed the scoring.

Bethel have amassed 82 goals in all competitions this season – 51 of them over their three meetings with Denbigh.
