Although Cemaes, who lie third in North Wales Coast West Division One, will start favourites, ninth-place Bodorgan should not be under-estimated.

Bodorgan held Cemaes 2-2 at home back in August, but in the return at School Lane two months later, Bay triumphed 7-1.

Cemaes bring a lot of goals to the table, Matty Reynolds their top-scorer on 30 an obvious danger man, while Steven Jones could be one to watch for the hosts.

Bodorgan have had two great away wins in the Junior Cup so far – 4-2 at Penrhyn Bay Dragons and 3-1 at Bontnewydd.

North Wales Coast West Division One totally dominate these quarter-finals, filling seven of the eight slots.

The sole flag-bearer for Division One East is Henllan, who impressively won at Rhyl Dragons on penalties in the last round.

Midfield schemer Sam Davies is capable of standing out for the home side, while defender Chris Bower is effective in both boxes.

Llanystumdwy’s star man is so often player-manager Sion Parry, scorer of 33 goals this term.

Cracker on the cards at Maes Eilian between two teams who have operated at much higher levels in their respective prestigious histories.

Both currently at tier 5, Llanfair are eighth in Division One West, while Pesda are top and on a run of eight straight wins, as well as being unbeaten in 10 games.

However, the psychological advantage could lie with ‘Pwll, who have done the double over Bethesda in the league this season.

On July 15, the score was Llanfairpwll 3 Bethesda 2 and on July 31 it ended Bethesda 1 Llanfairpwll 2.

Did those results happen too long ago to make a difference on Saturday? There is no doubt Mark Hughes’ Athletic will be out for revenge, but with home advantage, Gwyndaf Hughes’ men will be determined to make it three strikes and out!
