Bodedern Athletic are the second best performing non-league football club in the UK – and that’s official!

The Anglesey side’s perfect record of 16 wins in 16 games in the tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier Division has them in the number two spot in the Global League Stats table published by the Non-League Matters website.

Only Falmouth Town of the South West Peninsula Premier Division have better league stats than Bodedern – 18 straight wins.

NLM list the top 250 non-league clubs with the best records on a weekly basis.

Ricky Williams’ Bodedern are having a phenomenal season by anyone’s standards.

They have won 24 out of 25 matches in all competitions, their single defeat a 5-4 loss to Ruthin Town of tier 2 Cymru North in the Welsh Cup. Athletic trailed 5-0 in this game only to launch a dramatic comeback and so nearly force a penalty shoot-out.

The islanders have scored 131 goals in those 25 games, conceding just 21.

In Marc Evans, they have the top-scorer in North Wales senior football across league and cups with 41 goals, closely followed by strike partner Asa Thomas on 37.
Boded’s league stats read: played 16 won 16 goals for 75 goals against 11 points 48.

Both Evans and Thomas have notched 22 league goals apiece.
