Maddie strikes twice as Llandudno made to work hard for win over Airbus

Both sides played their part in a great match which saw Llandudno keep their unbeaten league record.

The Wingmakers started well, winning a first minute free kick which Nat Harrison blasted wide.

Three minutes in, Indie Hassall broke down the left and sent over a lovely cross for Maddie Williams. who narrowly missed the target.

In the ninth minute the hosts took the lead. A ball was crossed in from the right, Stacey Tradewell headed on and Hassall lofted over the keeper for 1-0.

Tudno doubled the advantage on 17 minutes when brilliant feet by Ffion Owen in the middle saw her release a through ball to Maddie Williams, who finished beyond the keeper into the bottom-left corner.

Two minutes later Airbus came straight back and from a corner Catrin Ellis made it 2-1.

However, just before the half hour, Maddie Williams grabbed her second goal of the match and eighth of the season with another cool finish over the keeper.

Airbus would not be grounded and before the break another flag-kick produced a goal for Poppy Smith.

All to play for in the second half and on 59 minutes a lovely ball from Sofie Owen down the left was kept in by Hassall. The New Zealander then found Tradewell, who from 25 yards out banged a shot into the top corner.
