The first matches in a “mystery cup” competition for women’s football teams in North Wales are set to take place this week.
The North Wales Coast Women’s Challenge Cup will be introduced at the quarter-final stage.
No media information has been released (to this website at least) on the competition, with notice only given to us by competing clubs.
It is mentioned on the NWCFA website, but not everyone reads that, and it would have been an idea, with it being something new, to put out some sort of press release?
It is unclear how the eight clubs involved were selected.
However, we can reveal three of the ties are set to be played this Sunday, November 21, kick-offs 1.30 pm
They are
Denbigh Town v Trearddur Bay
Llanystumdwy v Bangor 1876
CPD Pwllheli v NFA
The other quarter-final, Llandudno v Amlwch Town, is scheduled for this Thursday, November 18, kick-off 8 pm.
